Amarok, KDE için ortam oynatıcı uygulamasıdır. Şimdilik KDE Extragear’ın bir parçasıdır, böylece KDE’den (kdemultimedia paketinden) bağımsız sürüm yayınlayabiliyor. Amarok KDE 4.0 serisiyle beraber KDE’nin bir bileşeni olmaktan çıkıyor
